The San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees approved a $200,000 grant for Miramar College that will be used to support Innovations and Effectiveness as it relates to enrollment management. The approval came at the Board’s Dec. 8, 2016 meeting. The Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative (IEPI) grant is awarded through the Santa Clarita Community College District. The funds will be used to strategically integrate enrollment management into the College’s Student Success Model. The focal points selected for use of these funds centered on access and completion, and guided the development of the following strategies. • Offer faculty professional development opportunities that address relevant pedagogy which will promote student success. •Integrate on-campus computerized assessment center with Instructional Services to accommodate and elevate support for course exam taking to improve student success and completion. • Evaluate and implement online tutoring software and options available to support academic success. • Develop and disseminate, on the College website, course sequencing schedules for all instructional programs. • Conduct analysis, design, and implement enrollment strategies to offer weekend and evening-only degree and 100% online degree/certificate completion. • Build user-friendly macro models in Excel for enrollment data analysis, and provide training in their use as appropriate.
